BERU announces preliminary figures for 2007 – revenue slightly higher than in the prior year
(Ludwigsburg, February 27, 2008) On the basis of preliminary figures which have not yet been finally audited, BERU Aktiengesellschaft, Ludwigsburg, achieved consolidated revenue of EUR 450.6 million in 2007 (EUR 439.0 million). This represents moderate revenue growth of 2.6% compared with the prior year. The main source of growth was the Electronic and Sensors division; the revenues generated by its tire-pressure monitoring system, TSS (Tire Safety System), increased by more than 50% compared with 2006.
Operating profit amounted to EUR 43.1 million. This result will reduced by approximately EUR 4 million due to one-time special items. The special items are related to the efficiency-enhancing program announced on December 13, 2007 as well as the early departure of two Executive Board members during 2007.
The final figures and the Annual Report for the year 2007 will be published on March 27, 2008.
