The oxygen sensors is a sensor that is used in SI engines with three-way catalytic converters to comply with or reach todayÕs low statutory emission values for pollutants, and to optimize the performance of the engine and fuel consumption.
Oxygen sensors are wearing components, whose function needs to be regularly checked. They should be replaced after driving 60,000 to 80,000 km — otherwise there is a risk of increasing fuel consumption, changed driving performance, increased emission of pollutants and reduced engine output!
